Alinea is Latin and can be loosely translated as ‘the beginning of a new train of thought’. The term essentially describes what we do together with our clients: we rethink strategies and organisations. In doing so, we act as accelerators and enablers for our clients. But what exactly do we mean by that? What does ‘rethinking’ actually mean? The idea for Alinea arose from the observation that large companies in particular are generally very good at defining new strategies, but unfortunately this rarely leads to a change in their relative competitive position in subsequent years. We asked ourselves why this is the case. We believe that the organisation supports the company and its strategy. Accordingly, a company's organisation must also fit its strategy. It must therefore be able to support the strategy and make it successful. If a company's strategy changes, organisational adjustments are often necessary. After all, can a silo organisation implement a strategy that aims to be more ‘innovative’ in the future? This step is often forgotten when changing strategy. This is where Alinea comes in. Together with our clients, we build the bridge between strategy and organisational development. This creates speed and impact. That is the new idea behind Alinea.
